Lourdes

Dear Pilgrims,
Here we are once again on the road to Lourdes and the Massabielle Grotto, to offer the Holy Virgin our respects and our love, and to ask her to intercede for us with her Divine Son for our many needs.
This year we want to give a special thought to those members of the Church who still live under persecution, and all those who suffer the horrors of civil war, perhaps the most tragic of all wars.
Let us propose, in our daily lives, to be a little more charitable towards all those we meet, so that we can also give our modest contribution to that peace in the world which Our Lord promised to us.
Our thought also goes to all those who suffer. Let us pray that they can find the strength and courage to support their afflictions and their pain.
May Our Lady look on our pilgrimage with favour and give us many blessings with the grace to renew our devotion to her and to her Son. May she give us her aid this year.
