New York - The Order of Malta and the U.N.

Il Segretario Generale delle Nazioni Unite, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, sotto il cui mandato l'Ordine di Malta è stato ammesso come Osservatore all'Assemblea Generale, con il Conte Don Carlo Marullo di Condojanni, Ricevitore del Comun Tesoro, prima del colloquio politico, che ha avuto luogo nella sede dell'O.N.U., in occasione della conclusione dei lavori autunnali dell'Assemblea. Nella circostanza, il Conte Marullo, in rappresentanza di S.A. Em.ma il Principe e Gran Maestro, gli ha conferito le insegne della Gran Croce dell'Ordine al Merito Melitense, Classe Speciale.

The Secretary General of the United Nations, Boutros Boutros-Ghali, under whose mandate the Order of Malta has been admitted as Observer to the General Assembly, with Count Carlo Marullo di Condojanni, Receiver of the Common Treasure, before the political talks held in the U.N.'s headquarters at the conclusion of the Assembly's autumn sessions. On this occasion Count Marullo, representing H.M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master, conferred the insignia of Grand Cross of the Order "pro Merito Melitense", Special Class on Boutros-Ghali.
